Cronin Engineering and Inspection was called out to investigate why the center of a home in Brighton, CO. After removing the subfloor, it was discovered that the soils in the crawlspace had swelled to such an extent that the crawlspace’s steel framing exhibited pitting corrosion and spalling in nearly all locations. CEI shared a report opining on the residence’s issues and recommended repairs.
