Cronin Engineering and Inspection provided structural design drawings for a large home renovation in Centennial, CO. The renovation included removing interior and exterior load bearing walls to be replaced with structural framing, adding a new covered entrance, back deck and deck cover, and vaulting several interior ceilings, The project required working closely with the homeowner, contractor, and architect to ensure that the modifications met the requirements of the local building code and did not overload the existing structure. One large challenge included how to maintain the existing structural members while also making significant architectural changes to the home.
