Cronin Engineering and Inspection provided an initial structural inspection, structural design drawings, and a final inspection for a home in Arvada that required wall braces to support the existing foundation. The initial inspection determined that the walls of the home were leaning up to two and a half degrees which is greater than what is acceptable by industry standards; due to the lean of the walls and cracking observed in the foundation walls it was determined that wall braces should be installed. The steel braces were designed to support the applied loads on the foundation walls, a final inspection was performed after the braces were installed to ensure that they were properly installed, and a compliance letter for the building department was provided approving the brace installation.
